Facts & Info:
- The chayote, a member of the gourd family, originated in Mexico and is used throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Chayote Squash is very low in Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Sodium. It’s also a good source of Niacin, Vitamin B6, Pantothenic Acid, Magnesium and Potassium, and an excellent source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Folate, Zinc, Copper and Manganese.

i know that sayote or chayote is a staple veggie here but i’ve never tasted it. i am not a big fan of vegetables–i wish i could change my eating habits.

We used to cooked that when we had our own chayote when I was in PI… but now hindi na… maliliit kasi chayote sa Walmart at take note expensive sya!

Bihira lang talaga makakita ng sayote dito but then I remember the last time na nakabili ako ng sayote I sauted it w/ ingredients of minced pork naman.My mom taught me how to cook this when I was still livin’ in P.I & napakadaling lutuin bukod sa very nutrious pa.Yours looks more delish to me Mommy Willa & as what as Jac’s have been said baka hindi na kami makabalik dito pag natikman ang luto mo hehe second ‘d motion
